Founding Partner of Molina, Escalante & Zapien, S.C., heading the international tax practice. He has more than 20 years of experience advising companies and individuals regarding domestic and international tax matters, including mergers & acquisitions, as well as tax compliance and international structures.
He has specialized in making more efficient the current structures for clients in Mexico and Latin America for individuals, as well as for companies, reducing the tax burden at a global level. Likewise, he has specialized in structuring wealth protection strategies and energy deals in Mexico with emphasis in downstream (refining).
He holds a degree in Public Accounting from the School of Banking and Commerce, and holds a master's degree in International Tax Law from the University of Economics and Administration in Vienna, Austria. He has practiced in firms such as Arthur Andersen, Deloitte, Chevez Ruiz, Zamarripa, S.C., Rödl & Partner, S.C., Andersen Tax & Legal. In 2019 he founded Molina, Escalante & Zapien, S.C

Founding partner of Molina, Escalante & Zapien, S.C., heading the Legal practice. With more than 20 years experience in national and international tax issues including M&A, cross border tax planning and international taxation.
He focuses on serving multinational enterprises doing business in Mexico directing the legal aspects on implementation of multinational tax planning structures, as well as advising on the application of double tax treaties. Pablo has also extensive experience in corporate law matters advising on the legal implications of business strategies related to corporate governance and contractual law.
He is a Mexican Attorney graduated from Universidad Anahuac and conducted studies in international taxation and European Community taxation at Kings College London and has worked in leading firms such as Creel, García-Cuellar y Müggenburg, S.C.; SAI Consultores, S.C.; Deloitte Mexico; Deloitte Tax LLP (Nueva York); Ernst & Young; and Ortiz Abogados Tributarios, S.C. In 2018 he founded his own firm, Escalante Abogados, and in 2019 founded Molina, Escalante & Zapien, S.C.

Founding partner of Molina, Escalante & Zapien, he leads the salary and benefits area. With more than 30 years of experience, he has participated in registrations with the federal and local tax authorities, corporate restructurings, mergers and spin-offs, due diligence, tax returns, attention to various tax requirements, tax refunds, etc.
He has specialized in supporting and advising clients in obtaining R&D incentives (CONACyT) and audits of the benefited projects, as well as obtaining support at the federal and state levels. He has worked with companies in the oil industry, software, collection, communication, financial leasing, marketing, media and telecommunications, construction materials, retail industry, etc., as well as all types of activities (manufacturing, commercial, commissions, services, among others). Public Accountant graduated from the Technological University of Mexico (UNITEC), he has a Postgraduate Degree in Financial Administration, certified by the College of Public Accountants of Mexico, A.C. He has worked in firms such as Andersen (12 years) and Deloitte (13 years, the last 10 as a Partner). He is a member of the College of Public Accountants of Mexico and a member of the Mexican Institute of Public Accountants of Mexico, currently participates in the tax audit commission of the Institute represented before AGAFF and in the tax audit commission of the College of Public Accountants of Mexico.

In 2024, Carlos joins Molina, Escalante & Zapien, as an audit and assurance partner, he has more than 24 years of experience in financial auditing serving national and international, public and private clients; expert in construction and contractors, hospitality, real estate, technology, media and communication, electric power, as well as financial leasing entities. He has participated as a professor of financial auditing at the Escuela Superior de Comercio y Administración and taught the IFRS diploma at the Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey.
He has technical knowledge related to IFRS, USGAAP, MEXGAAP, PCAOB, as well as experience in placements for bond and debt issuance, preparation of financial and fiscal opinions, clearance report to headquarters in countries such as Japan, France, UK, Germany, United States, as part of audits groups; he is an expert in audit risk assessment, internal control, business cycle assessment and analysis of the management of the corporate governance of Entities.
Carlos worked for 23 years at Deloitte, where he was an audit partner for 9 years, participated in the exchange program (GDP) in the Atlanta, Georgia Deloitte office in the United States of America, for 24 months, is a Certified Public Accountant by the College of Public Accountants (CCPM) and a member of the Financial Reporting Standards Commission of the Mexican Institute of Public Accountants, A.C.

Omar has more than 20 years of experience in transfer pricing. He has led and worked in multidisciplinary teams with specialists in areas such as tax, legal and auditing, for the development of various tax consulting and compliance services, focused on national and multinational groups. He is a specialist and has developed various transfer pricing analyses such as profitability analysis, fiscal and financial adjustments and strategies, company valuation, corporate restructuring, expert evidence, preparation of documents related to the BEPS project and preparation of transfer pricing studies for different companies and industries such as automotive, entertainment, insurance, financial, manufacturing, distributorship, among others.
Omar holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics and a Master's degree in Finance from ITAM and worked for KPMG for more than six years as Director of Transfer Pricing. In addition, he worked for the Siemens Group for 3 years as Senior Manager in charge of the planning, consulting and implementation of tax and transfer pricing strategies for companies in Mexico and Central America. Likewise, Omar worked at Deloitte for 7 years where his last position was Manager, developing documentation and advice on transfer pricing to different companies in different productive sectors. Finally, Omar worked for a year for the Tax Administration Service as a transfer pricing auditor involved in different transfer pricing audits.
He is a member of the Transfer Pricing Commission of the Mexican Institute of Public Accountants. In 2020, he joined the firm Molina, Escalante & Zapien, S.C. as a Transfer Pricing partner.

An associate at Molina, Escalante & Zapien, he heads the foreign trade and customs department. He has more than 16 years of experience participating in various consulting projects in the private sector for various operational sectors in Mexico and abroad.
He has specialized in consulting, auditing for various organizations for compliance with tax and legal provisions, including the implementation of operational structures considering tax and customs benefits and implications in order to reduce the tax burden according to the industrial sector.
Degree in International Business from the Higher School of Commerce and Administration, belonging to the IPN. He has carried out his professional practice in International Firms such as EY and Deloitte.

Director of Molina, Escalante & Zapien, S .C. Miguel Works mainly in the Social Security practice, Infonavit, local contributions, consulting and tax consulting. Miguel has more than twenty years of professional experience.
Graduated from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), he holds a degree Accounting and Financial in Strategy Specialist, postgraduate course at the Universidad Panamericana (UP).
Before joining Molina, Escalante & Zapien, S.C., Miguel was a senior manager at Deloitte in the salaries and benefits practice in the Mexico City office, and previously joined Arthur Andersen since 2001. Additionally, he was part of the Invest & Development team, assisting clients in obtaining federal and local tax incentives.
